FIRE REPORTED IN THE SANITIZER MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY

18, mostly women, dead after fire breaks out at a chemical factory in Pune

On 07.06.2021, As many as 18 people have died after a fire erupted in a water purifying factory in Pune's Ghotawade Phata.

As many as 18 people have died after a broke out in a water purifying factory at Pirangut industrial zone in Pune's Ghotawade Phata.

 

The fire erupted in the chemical packaging section of the water purifying chemical factory at Pirangut in Mulsi Taluka.

 

According to the Fire department, there were 37 workers in the factory. The officials have recovered 18 bodies while others have been safely evacuated.

 

Photfode added that five teams are at the spot to rescue those trapped in the factory and to bring the blaze under control. He said that the fire is now under control and the cooling procedure is going on.
