Avoid Hating, Envying and Disliking - संस्कार

Avoid Hating, Envying and Disliking  संस्कार Dr. Manoj Kumar Patel Why should we give importance to the right endeavors and thoughts all through life? A merchant calculates debit and credit at the end of a week, month, year and draws up the balance sheet to arrive at one value — his earnings. So too, in this business of life, everything ends leaving some net positive, after all the give and take is accounted for. The experiences that persist to the very last moment of life, the two or three that well up into consciousness when one recalls all that has happened in life, these are the genuine achievements. At the point of death, if one yearns to cater to the tongue, it is proof that throughout life the tongue has been the master. Or if a woman remembers her child and seeks to fondle it, the inner desire ( संस्कार ) of child-love has been predominant all through life. It proves that all other experiences have been thrown into oblivion. Therefore, direct the entire curre

Inertia of ... and Corruption

Inertia of ... and Corruption Dr. Manoj Kumar Patel Inertia  is the resistance of the object to any change in its motion, including a change in direction. An object will stay still or keep moving at the same speed and in a straight line, unless it is acted upon by an external unbalanced force. This is the second law of Newton and we all know about it. See how it is equally applicable to business management as well as social aspects.             Inertia is the innate force possessed by an object which resists changes in motion . When the objects are human beings then inertia is capable to cause anti development.             Like “inertia of motion” and “inertia of rest” in the Newton’s Law there are many unstated laws in human behaviour and organizational behaviour. Many of these laws can be stated as: a)       Inertia of Kindness, b)      Inertia of Inactivity, c)       Inertia of Cheating, d)      Inertia of truthfulness, e)       Inertia of politicisin

Turbulence to bring Order

Turbulence to bring Order Dr. Manoj Kumar Patel He came altogether from a different background. His experience in his new role was minimal. When he was made the site in-charge, the unit was filled and burdened with excess manpower, low productivity, go slow practices in manufacturing shop floors, union leaders were staying away from duty, and his predecessors were selfish administrators. In the process, the manufacturing works had become a place of time to pass at the cost of its very survival. Products in the export consignments were failing to perform. But everybody was oblivious to problems which could have been tackled into to keep the unit in the path of development, productivity, peace and prosperity. Predecessors are termed to be oblivious to issues because no signs of improvements were seen for years. When he observed and analyzed the situation the dilemma was: either to systematically shut down the unit or make his do or die effort to bring it back to its glo

स्वधर्म : Let us mind our own business

स्वधर्म Let us mind our own business Dr. Manoj Kumar Patel Two of the wars, the first one being the Mahabharata fought between Kauravas and Pandavas about 5000 years ago and the other one is Gulf War of 1991 fought between the US and its alleys and the gulf countries about 30 years ago are well discussed and remembered for one common reason. There were no non-aligned or neutral parties (nations) when these two wars were fought. Every nation (including its citizens) was either with one party or against with that party, i.e. you are either with us or you are against us was the reality. Great wars probably are fought with such animosity and aggression. Wars are over issues rather than over particular persons.       But what we are observing today in India over CAA and CAB is difficult to comprehend. It is appearing that an all out open war is being fought between many opinionites without a clear understanding about the facts and figures. It is total chaos. We have

Civilization, err..... Humanoidization

Civilization, err..... Humanoidization Dr. Manoj Kumar Patel I received a message through social media. I quote the verbatim here in for each one to read. In the subsequent section, I have made my own comments.        Neither the message nor my analyses are too great. But I am sure you will love both the parts of the article.  Here it goes. PART I: THE MESSAGE RECEIVED (as it is):        Recently when our FM mentioned certain uncanny statistics like drop in car sales due to millennial not   buying cars any more, Logistics business made simple and easy reducing the truck business sizeably, NBFC companies shrinking due to change in lease models, etc., the industry and the media ridiculed her for lack of business and industry knowledge.        Even Industry Captains went overboard to ridicule her utterances.        But little did the media and of course industry too realized that it was high time that Indian businesses had a deep examination of their busin
